One could make a valid argument that the most significant story in the sport of Boxing currently is the situation that resulted in the highly anticipated rematch between undefeated unified WBA/IBO/WBC/IBF Middleweight world champion Gennady Golovkin and Saul Alvarez imploding. The Jr. Welterweight bout between veterans Danny O’Connor and Steve Claggett was the latest for the active 140lb. division that is in the process of transition following former undisputed world champion Terence Crawford choosing to relinquish his crown and seek opportunities in the 147lb.
