Bruno Tarimo Resigns with Tony Tolj's Dragon Fire Boxing

Credit: Dragon Fire Boxing

Press Release: November 3 , 2025 By Dragon Fire Boxing  -  Featherweight contender Bruno Tarimo is ready to kick-start his career now that he and his family members have received Australian visa approval & are settled in Australia.

Tarimo (29-5-2, 8 KOs) soared into the super featherweight rankings after a string of upset victories over Aussie contenders Billy Dib, Joel Brunker and Nathaniel May in 2019. Tarimo’s link-up with Aussie trainer Angelo Hyder and manager Tony Tolj saw him become a firm fixture in the Australian & World boxing scene.

“Bruno is doing better than ever before in the gym but was left lost and without direction but now has come back and hes hunry, hes got that Eye of the Tiger which I havent seen in him for quite some time,” Tolj. "He's now come back to the team and I can promise there will be a new and improved wiser Bruno Tarimo

“He has brought his wife and kids with him here to live so that he can focus fully on training. His focus has been a little off over the last couple of years, and I completely understand it. During COVID time, he didn’t see his family for over two years. That’s some sacrifice. I got kept away from my family for eight weeks. God knows how he coped with two years.”

Tarimo, a 29-year-old southpaw, saw his time at 130 pounds end following a wide points defeat against Zelfa Barrett in December 2021. Tarimo would move down two divisions to his natural super super bantamweight to face Yoshiki Takei, but that matchup produced a second straight defeat. Tarimo has since posted two successive victories in his native Tanzania.

“We are planning a big 2026, where we can get him back in the rankings and challenge for a world title,” Tolj said. “He wants to campaign at Featherweight; we believe he can compete there and it’s his natural weight. He was fighting up at super featherweight, which wasn’t his weight. But during COVID times, they couldn’t get anyone into the country, so he jumped up. He just kept fighting Aussie after Aussie and just kept beating everyone. He ended up getting into a position where he was fighting in a world title eliminator.

“He lives close to Jason and Andrew [Moloney], and also young prospect Jesse Wicks is around there. They are all friends; Bruno is another extension of our boxing family. He will be a big help in Jason’s next fight in the Gold Coast on the Opetai card, Andrew IBF World title challenge next year and Brunos big year coming up. He's been a big part of all the big camps we have had with the Moloneys. Takei has had eight fights with eight knockouts at that point, but Bruno’s fight was stopped due to a cut. Hes World class and 2026 is gonna be a stand out year for him.

“First thing I need to do is get him active, then back into the world ratings,” ToIj added. “Now we can get him into a position where he will fight for a world title. Now he is going to be settled, not worrying about his family, not detached from those he loves. I think he will have a good run now and really looking forward to it.”

CHANTELLE CAMERON TO VACATE WBC SUPER LIGHTWEIGHT TITLE IN SUPPORT OF WOMEN’S BOXING CHOICE AND EQUALITY

Press Release: November 1, 2025 By Most Valuable Promotions - Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) today (October 31st) announced that WBC Super Lightweight world champion, Chantelle Cameron has decided to vacate her WBC Super Lightweight Title as part of her continued commitment to advancing choice and equality in women’s boxing.

Cameron’s decision follows her longstanding position that women should have the option to compete under the same rules as men, including three-minute rounds, rather than the two-minute rounds mandated by the WBC for women’s fights.

“Women’s boxing has come a long way, but there’s still progress to be made,” said Chantelle Cameron. “I’ve always believed in equality, and that includes the choice to fight equal rounds, equal opportunities, and equal respect. I’m proud of my accomplishment in becoming a WBC champion, but it’s time to take a stand for what’s right and for the future of the sport.”

“Chantelle has never backed down from a challenge, inside or outside the ring,” said Nakisa Bidarian, co-founder of Most Valuable Promotions. “This decision underscores her integrity and her leadership as one of the sport’s elite fighters. MVP stands firmly behind Chantelle and her commitment to help drive women’s boxing toward true parity.”

Cameron will continue to pursue championship opportunities and marquee bouts maintaining the choice to fight three-minute rounds, and she remains focused on returning to the ring in early 2026.

Juarez Retains Women's WBC World Flyweight Championship With Decision Over Nery Plata

Credit: Harry Aaron/Most Valuable Promotions

Press Release: October 19, 2025 By Most Valuable Promotions - SOUTH PADRE ISLAND, TX – October 18, 2025 – In a thrilling and tightly contested ten-round world championship bout, Mexico’s WBC light flyweight world champion Lourdes “La Pequeña Lulu” Juarez (39-4, 5 KOs) successfully retained her title, earning a majority decision victory over MVP’s Yesica Nery Plata (30-3, 3 KOs)—the division’s #1 WBA contender and former unified champion—at Most Valuable Prospects 16 Championship Double Header from the South Padre Island Convention Center in Texas, streamed globally on DAZN. From the opening bell, the action was razor-close, with both champions trading sharp, clean combinations in a technical chess match. Juarez was briefly shoved in round seven but remained composed, matching Plata’s precision and pace through every exchange. After ten high-level rounds, the judges scored the bout 95-95, 96-94x2 in favor of Juarez, who retained her WBC light flyweight world title. Speaking with Sibley Scoles post-fight, Juarez thanked her supporters and praised Plata’s strength and performance in what was one of the night’s most competitive showdowns.

In the co-main event, Brownsville, Texas native Omar “El Relámpago” Juarez (20-2, 7 KOs) showcased his superior skill and ring IQ against Caguas, Puerto Rico’s Omar “The New Era” Rosario (14-3, 4 KOs) in a 10-round super lightweight clash at 140 lbs. The opening rounds were competitive, with both men trading crisp combinations, but Juarez quickly established himself as the sharper, more composed fighter. As the bout wore on, Juarez’s precision and timing broke down Rosario’s defense, and a late point deduction against Rosario further cemented Juarez’s control. After ten rounds, the judges unanimously scored it for Juarez (99-89x2, 97-91), marking a dominant and decisive victory.

On the main card, MVP’s Australian unified world champion Desley “Destroyer” Robinson (11-3, 4 KOs) lived up to her nickname, obliterating South Carolina’s Logan Holler (11-4-1, 4 KOs) to successfully defend her unified IBF and WBO middleweight world titles. Making her promotional debut with MVP, Robinson wasted no time asserting her dominance—unleashing a barrage of heavy combinations in the second round that shattered Holler’s defense and left her unable to continue. The referee stopped the contest at 1:08 of the 2nd round, declaring Robinson the winner by TKO and still the unified IBF and WBO middleweight world champion. The clinical display from the reigning champion earned Robinson the MVP Performance of the Night bonus presented by Caribe Royale.

Opening the main card, Boxlab Promotions’ rising 21-year-old Cuban standout Ronny Alvarez (5-0, 4 KOs) faced 26-year-old San Antonio prospect Bruno Pola (10-4-1, 9 KOs). Pola found early success with powerful combinations, but Alvarez adjusted and began to take control as the fight progressed, leveraging his explosive power to break down Pola. The referee stopped the contest at 2:28 in the fifth round, awarding Alvarez the victory by TKO.

In a contentious preliminary card headliner, MVP and Dallas, Texas’s Shurretta “Chiccn” Metcalf (15-5-1, 2 KOs) battled MVP’s Puerto Rican sensation Krystal Rosado (7-1, 2 KOs) in an 8-round bout at 118lbs. The former world champion Metcalf leveraged her longer reach to keep Rosado at distance in the early rounds, outlanding Rosado in power punches, while Rosado impressed with sharp, clean counters. After eight hard-fought rounds, the judges rendered a unanimous decision in favor of Metcalf (77-75, 78-74x2).

Also on the preliminary card, MVP’s three-time U.S. National Champion and high-fashion model Alex “Chop Chop” Chaparro (6-0, 6 KOs) impressed once again, stopping Mexico’s David “El Verdugo” Gutierrez (4-1, 2 KOs) by TKO. Chaparro dictated the pace from the opening bell against the unorthodox Gutierrez, brushing off an illegal shot to the back of the head in round two before nearly scoring a knockout in the fifth. He closed the fight in emphatic fashion, overwhelming Gutierrez with a brutal combination, finishing with a ferocious uppercut at 0:25 of round six that sent Gutierrez to the mat for good. In an eight-round super lightweight showdown, Houston’s Miranda “La Alacrana” Reyes (8-3-1, 3 KOs) delivered a statement win over MVP’s Yolanda Vega (10-2, 1 KO). Reyes established her dominance with crisp combinations to outperform Vega, who suffered a dislocated shoulder early in the bout, and earn a unanimous decision win (79-73, 80-72x2).

In one of the night’s most explosive bouts, Boxlab Promotions’ and Brownsville, Texas’s undefeated Sebastian Juarez (10-0, 8 KOs) put on a blistering display against Ft. Worth, Texas’s Demarcus Layton (10-8-1, 7 KOs). Despite an early knockdown from Layton and two point deductions for holding, Juarez rebounded to knock down Layton twice with devastating power before the referee halted the action at 2:59 of the first round, awarding Juarez the TKO win. Also on the preliminary card, Boxlab Promotions’ 21-year-old Cuban prospect Pedro Veitia (6-0-1, 6 KOs) and 19-year-old Mexican prospect Xavier Zuniga (4-0-1, 3 KOs) battled through six competitive rounds in a 154 lbs super welterweight bout, ending in a hard-fought split draw (60-54, 58-56, 57-57). Kicking off the night, Mission, Texas’s Edgar “Rocky” Rosales (6-0, 2 KOs) extended his undefeated streak with an impressive unanimous decision win (40-36, 39-37x2) over Harlingen, Texas’s Reggie Ray Martinez (6-1-1, 1 KO) in a 4-round lightweight bout at 135 lbs.

Most Valuable Prospects 16 is promoted by MVP and distributed globally by DAZN. MVP’S KIM CLAVEL BECOMES NEW IBF MINI FLYWEIGHT WORLD CHAMPION

  • Credit: Harry Aaron/Most Valuable Promotions
Press Release: September 29, 2025 By Most Valuable Promotions MONTREAL, CANADA – Friday, September 27, 2025 – MVP’s new signee and Canadian boxing star Kim Clavel (22-2, 3 KOs) became a two-time world champion tonight with a unanimous decision win (99-91, 98-92 x2) over Argentina’s Sol Cudos (10-1-2, 3 KOs) to become the new IBF mini flyweight world champion at 105lbs in the main event of Most Valuable Prospects 15 Championship Edition at Theatre St-Denis in Montreal, Canada, promoted by GYM, live on DAZN. Clavel tested Cudos from the opening bell, trading jabs and combinations in the early rounds before gradually asserting control with precise body and head attacks. A cut near Clavel’s right eye in the fifth round did not slow her relentless pace, as she landed multiple two- and three-punch combinations and a powerful left hook that repeatedly breached Cudos’ defense. Despite Cudos connecting with solid shots, including a devastating hook in the seventh round, Clavel’s consistent offense prevented her opponent from gaining momentum. Encouraged by chants of “Let’s go Kim!” from the home crowd, Clavel finished strong through the later rounds, capturing the IBF strawweight world title at 105lbs becoming MVP’s newest female world champion. Following the bout, an ecstatic Clavel acknowledged the dedication, sweat and tears of her training camp to prepare for this moment and gave credit to her opponent for a tremendous performance.

In the co-main event, MVP’s undefeated two-time Canadian Olympian, amateur world champion, and #1 IBF and WBA middleweight contender Tamm Thibeault (4-0, 3 KOs) proved why she is one of the sport’s fastest-rising stars against Italy’s Cristina Mazzotta (1-1). Thibeault electrified her home Quebec fans, in her first professional home province fight, with a first-round TKO at just 0:54, landing a devastating right-left combination that sent Mazzotta to the canvas. A dazed Mazzotta struggled to rise before her corner waved off the bout, marking another dominant performance in Thibeault’s unstoppable rise toward the top of the division. In her post-fight interview with renowned combat sports journalist Ariel Helwani, Thibeault admitted she wished the fight had lasted longer but applauded Mazzotta’s courage for stepping into the ring.

On the main card, Montreal’s undefeated 28-year-old Mazlum Akdeniz (22-0, 9 KOs) earned a dominant fourth-round TKO over Pueblo, Colorado’s 24-year-old Anthony Soto (13-1-1, 8 KOs). Fighting in front of his home fans, Akdeniz showcased his trademark high-pressure style, dictating the action from the opening bell. He floored Soto twice with a blistering barrage before Soto’s corner threw in the towel at 2:26 of the fourth round, cementing Akdeniz’s status as a top division contender.

In the main card opener, MVP’s newest signee, German Olympian Nelvie Tiafack (2-0, 2 KOs) obliterated San Diego’s Ramiro Robles (5-1, 3 KOs) in an action-packed heavyweight clash. The 26-year-old Olympic bronze medalist entered the ring with commanding confidence, slipping under Robles’ guard to unload massive left hooks, uppercuts, and crisp combinations from the opening bell. Robles showed toughness by staying on his feet and pressing forward, but posed little resistance to Tiafack’s relentless assault. After four punishing rounds, Robles retired on his stool, giving Tiafack his second straight professional victory by TKO.

In the preliminary card headliner, MVP’s multi-talented global star Javon “Wanna” Walton (3-0-1, 1 KO) returned to the ring against his most experienced opponent to date, New Brittain, Connecticut’s Anthony Mora (7-5-1, 4 KOs). The 19-year-old Walton relied on his dangerous left hook to steadily wear Mora down in the early rounds. Despite a low blow in the fourth and relentless pressure from Mora, Walton regained his rhythm, setting up power shots behind his right jab and showcasing slick footwork to evade the worst of Mora’s offense. After six rounds, the bout went to the scorecards, where Walton earned a unanimous decision victory (60-54 x3).

Also on the preliminary card, Mississauga, Ontario, Canada’s bantamweight Amanda Galle (12-0-1, 1 KO) showcased her star potential in her MVP debut, delivering a ferocious 8-round technical performance against Mexico City’s Alondra Hernandez (8-2). Galle consistently picked apart Hernandez’s defense, landing sharp combinations and a powerful left hook that wore down the resilient Mexican before securing a unanimous decision victory (80-72x2, 79-73). In the 108lb light flyweight division, Italy’s Federica Macrí (7-0-1, 1 KO) earned a unanimous decision win (80-71, 76-75, 78-73) over MVP’s Costa Rican standout Naomy Valle (14-1, 9 KOs). Macrí came out aggressive from the opening bell, using combinations to push inside, while Valle countered effectively but was hampered by a point deduction in the middle rounds. Kicking off the night, Sherbrooke, Quebec’s 23-year-old Loick Lahaie (3-0, 1 KO) extended his undefeated streak with a second-round TKO over Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico’s Jose Madrigal (7-8, 6 KOs).

Most Valuable Prospects 15 was promoted by GYM and distributed globally by DAZN. The 15th event in the series continued the commitment from MVP co-founders Jake Paul and Nakisa Bidarian to highlight the world’s best up-and-coming boxing talent. MVP’s standout Tammara Thibeault is currently the #1-ranked WBA, #1 IBF, #4 WBO, and #8 WBC middleweight contender. Originally from Shawinigan, Quebec, Canada, Thibeault began her boxing journey at the age of nine, inspired by seeing her father, a former CFL player, knock out an opponent during a Provincial boxing tournament. Following in his footsteps, she took up boxing at age 12 and was inspired to compete for Canada while watching the first women’s Olympic boxing competition during the 2012 London Olympics. The 28-year-old middleweight, a southpaw standing 6 feet tall, forged an outstanding amateur career. A two-time Olympian, Thibeault made her Olympic debut at Tokyo 2020, where she advanced to the quarterfinals of the women’s 75kg (165lb) event, matching Canada’s best-ever Olympic result in any women’s boxing event. She went undefeated until she returned to the Paris Olympics in 2024, earning gold medals at the 2022 Amateur World Championship, the 2022 Commonwealth Games, and the 2023 Pan Am Games. Thibeault, who speaks French, English, and Spanish, recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Urban Studies from Concordia University in 2023, which she earned over seven years while competing. She currently lives in Sheffield, England, where she is earning a one-year Master’s degree in urban design and urban planning while training at the renowned Steel City Gym. Thibeault made her pro debut while competing under men’s rules, three-minute rounds, on the main card of MVP’s Most Valuable Prospects 10 in December 2024, then returned to the ring in March 2025 as part of MVP’s first ever event in Canada, Most Valuable Prospects 11, where she again competed under men’s rules with three-minute rounds and won by knockout in the final second of the first round, proving again the impact of women competing with equal rules to men. Thibeault entered her third pro fight continuing to compete under equal rules over 8, three-minute rounds on the preliminary card of MVP's historic Katie Taylor vs. Amanda Serrano 3 all-women's card against then-#1 contender Mary Casamassa, winning by TKO to become the #1 contender with both the IBF and WBA following the bout—one of the fastest-rising world title contenders in history.

“Cristina Mazzotta is incredibly talented, and I’m looking forward to a competitive fight that will push me to perform at my very best,” said Tammara Thibeault.“This co-main event is a chance to represent Quebec with pride and take another step toward a world title. The support from my hometown is incredibly meaningful, and I want to deliver a performance that the fans will never forget on Saturday, September 27.”

Cristina Mazzotta, from Mesagne, Italy, represents the storied Pugilistica Rodio Brindisi gym, a boxing institution since 1938. She burst onto the pro scene in July 2025, defeating seasoned Czech boxer Ester Konecna in a thrilling six-round debut that captivated over 2,000 fans in Mesagne’s Villa Comunale. Her amateur career is equally decorated, with a silver medal at the 2018 Italian National Championships in Pescara and a collection of national medals, establishing her as one of Italy’s brightest boxing prospects.

"I’ve been training long and hard to display my skills on a big platform,” said Cristina Mazzotta. “MVP is doing big things in women's boxing and I’m happy to get this opportunity on their event. My opponent is very good but I am confident in what i bring to the table."

“Tamm Thibeault is a phenomenal athlete whose meteoric rise and world-class talent set the standard for the next generation of boxing,” said Nakisa Bidarian and Jake Paul, co-founders of MVP. “Her co-main event against Cristina Mazzotta is an important step in her rapid rise, pitting one of Quebec’s finest athletes against one of Italy’s most promising talents. Belated Thunderdome 51 Results From Perth, Metro City Australia

Credit: Mike O'Hara Dragon Fire Boxing

Press Release: September 3, 2025 By Dragon Fire Boxing - Friday night,(August 29th) Dragonfire Promotions returned to the Metro City Night Club for another exciting display of young talent.

The main event saw “Lethal” Joel Lewis capture his second state title with a knockout win over Fano Kori.

The card also saw WBA Oceania Super Bantamweight Champion “Fist of Fury” Runqi Zhou with a 99 second KO, the return of “The African Dream” Kazeem Soyoye & The Isle of Man’s Sam Rennie continue his undefeated streak, along with other exciting prospects on display.

Joel Lewis Captures WA State Super Welterweight Title with Win Over Fano Kori

Joel Lewis claimed the WA State Super Welterweight title, defeating Fano Kori by a sixth-round KO in the evening’s main event. The victory marks the second state title of his professional career.

The Perth fighter has been on the comeback trail since suffering his first defeat overseas in June 2024. He responded with two straight wins before meeting Kori, who had originally been scheduled to face him earlier this year.

The bout was Lewis’ first since relocating to Queensland to train under Angelo Hyder, a respected coach with multiple world champions to his name.

The change in camp paid off as Lewis produced a composed and clinical performance to secure the belt.

The fight started fast, with both men chasing a quick stoppage.

In the second round, Lewis caught Kori coming in with a quick uppercut that sent him to the canvas. Kori was able to answer the count, but Lewis remained in control throughout the rest of the round.

Lewis continued to lure Kori into his uppercut to counter the aggression of his opponent.

Midway into the fourth round, Lewis landed a perfect left cross that sent Kori to the canvas yet again. Kori chased the finish for the next two rounds and it ultimately cost him, as he got clipped in the final round by yet another uppercut that sent him crashing to the ground.

Kori got to his feet before being dropped by a vicious left hand, giving Joel Lewis the victory with three seconds left in the fight.

After yet another amazing performance to make it three wins in a row, the sky is the limit for Joel Lewis.

Runqi Zhou steamrolls Asyer Aluman in 99 seconds

Runqi Zhou defeated Asyer Aluman by first-round TKO to score his second straight victory since his appearance at the WBC Grand Prix.

The fight started with Zhou immediately putting pressure on his opponent. He continued roughing Aluman up against the ropes before landing a short-left hook to the body that knocked him to his knees.

Aluman was able to get to his feet before Zhou fired off one more flurry that prompted the referee to stop the fight after 99 seconds of action.

Lewis Clarke defeats Bilal Seidu to become the top contender for State Title

In the co-main event of the evening, Lewis Clarke defeated Bilal Seidu by a controversial split decision.

The win for Clarke sets him up for a potential fight with current WA State Cruiserweight Champion Billy Quinncroft.

After coming up short in the WBC Heavyweight Grand Prix, Lewis Clarke looked to put his career back on track.

After winning his last fight in Thailand, Clarke fought in Perth for the first time in almost a year against Bilal Seidu.

When the bout was announced, it was classed as a WA State Cruiserweight title Eliminator, an accolade that Seidu had come up short in achieving only months prior.

With plenty at stake for both men, the bout promised to be an intriguing contest. Ultimately, it was Clarke who emerged victorious.

Seidu started the fight aggressively by roughing his opponent up against the ropes. Clarke stayed composed and timed his uppercut well.

The onslaught from Seidu continued in the middle rounds, as he was able to catch Clarke in the centre of the ring before following him to the ropes to unload a barrage of punches.

In the final round, both men were clearly fatigued. Clarke was able to rip combinations to the body while Seidu landed massive power punches that got a big reaction from the crowd.

Both men gave it everything they had before the final bell sounded.

Many in attendance on the night believed Bilal Seidu had done enough to be victorious. However, the judges saw it differently with Lewis Clarke being awarded a split decision win.

Sam Rennie remains undefeated against George Lumoly

Earlier in the night, Sam Rennie kept his undefeated record alive with a comfortable third-round stoppage victory over George Lumoly.

Coming off his historic regional title win, The Isle of Man’s Sam Rennie looked to continue his dominance in the Perth Boxing Scene.

His opponent George Lumoly seemed to be a tough test on paper, but the Brit breezed through him to deliver another smooth performance.

The fight started with Rennie being in complete control of the range, keeping Lumoly on the end of his jab.

In the second round, the Brit started to unload more power shots to the body before dropping Lumoly with a right hook before the bell.

Rennie cornered Lumoly throughout the third round before knocking his opponent down yet again with a body shot.

Lumoly recovered before being finished off with an uppercut, giving the referee no choice but to stop the fight.

With yet another impressive victory under his belt, Rennie has set his sights on a WA State Title fight in the future.

MVP’S YANKIEL RIVERA VS ANGELINO CORDOVA ENDS IN CONTENTIOUS MAJORITY DRAW

Press Release: August 25, 2025 By Most Valuable Promotions -ORLANDO, FL – August 23, 2025 – MVP’s Puerto Rican Olympian and #1 WBA contender Yankiel “El Doctorcito” Rivera (7-0-1, 3 KOs) made his MVP debut against #2 WBA flyweight titleholder Angelino “Huracan” Cordova (19-0-2, 12 KOs) in the first-ever MVP Fight Night, live on DAZN from the Caribe Royale Resort in Orlando, Florida. The bout turned into an intense, back-and-forth battle, with Rivera scoring a fourth-round knockdown to gain early momentum. Cordova clawed his way back, though a sixth-round point deduction for a shot to the back of Rivera’s head proved costly. After 12 chaotic, action-packed rounds, the bout went to the judges’ scorecards and was ruled a majority draw (115-111 Cordova, 113-113 x2). After the fight, Rivera acknowledged Cordova’s awkward style made the bout a unique and complicated test.

MVP Fight Night, promoted by MVP in association with Boxlab Promotions, saw a star-studded crowd in attendance including Jake Paul, Amanda Serrano, the most dominant two-sport athlete in combat sports history Holly Holm, bare knuckle boxer and UFC veteran Mike Perry, WBA super lightweight champion Rolly Romero, boxing’s youngest current world champion and current WBO super welterweight champion Xander Zayas, WBA light flyweight champion Sara Bailey, 4-division former world champion boxer Nonito Donaire, former world champion boxer Kim Clavel, and MVP’s Jan Paul Rivera, Jahmal Harvey, Javon “Wanna” Walton, and Alexis “Chop Chop” Chaparro.

In the co-main event, former WBA interim super welterweight champion Yoenis “El Bandolero” Tellez (10-1, 7 KOs) faced then-#1 WBA contender and European champion Abass Baraou (17-1, 9 KOs) in his first title defense. From the opening bell, Baraou’s high guard and relentless pressure kept Tellez on the defensive, controlling the action blow-for-blow. Tellez fought back with sharp counters, but Baraou systematically broke him down, finally scoring a knockdown in the final seconds of the 12th round. Baraou secured a unanimous decision (116-111, 115-112, 117-110) to claim the WBA interim title at 154 lbs. After the fight, an emotional Baraou celebrated proving the strength of German boxing on a global stage, before facing off with WBO champion Xander Zayas. The thrilling showdown earned Baraou the MVP Performance of the Night bonus, presented by Caribe Royale.

Also on the main card, MVP’s newest signee, WBA lightweight world champion Stephanie Han (11-0, 3 KOs) successfully defended her title in her MVP debut, battling Medellin, Colombia’s Paulina Angel (7-2-2, 3 KOs) in a thrilling 10-round war at 135 lbs. Angel came forward relentlessly from the opening bell, even dropping Han in the first round, but Han stayed composed under pressure, answering with sharp combinations and high-volume counters that steadily broke through Angel’s guard. After 10 high-paced rounds, Han secured a unanimous decision victory (98-91 x3) to remain the WBA lightweight world champion. After the fight, Han praised Angel’s toughness and reiterated her desire to defend her title next against MVP’s Holly Holm, whether in El Paso, Texas, or Albuquerque, New Mexico.

On the main card, MVP’s undefeated lightweight contender “Prince” Lucas Bahdi (20-0, 15 KOs)—ranked #5 WBA, #6 IBF, #12 WBC, and #14 WBO, and owner of 2024’s most-awarded knockout—took on former WBA world champion Roger “The Kid” Gutierrez (29-7-1, 22 KOs) in a high-stakes 12-round WBA elimination bout to determine the mandatory challenger for Gervonta “Tank” Davis. Bahdi started sharp, controlling the early rounds before the experienced Gutierrez ramped up his offense in the third, using his reach and left hook to apply pressure. Bahdi answered back, flooring Gutierrez with a massive overhand right at the end of Round 6, then punishing him with heavy shots through the late rounds. The fight went to the cards, where Bahdi won a unanimous decision (117-110, 116-111, 115-112), preserving his perfect record and securing his spot as Tank’s next mandatory challenger. Post-fight, Bahdi celebrated his first 12-round victory and called out Tank ahead of his Friday, November 14 clash with Jake Paul.

Opening the main card, Stockton’s combat sports icon and Real Fight Inc/Team Nate Diaz mainstay Chris Avila (6-2) squared off against Tampa’s undefeated Ariel “Golden Hulk” Perez (8-0, 4 KOs) in a 175-lb light heavyweight bout. Perez controlled the early rounds, exploiting openings in Avila’s guard with sharp uppercuts and right hooks. Avila rallied, landing heavy overhand rights while absorbing Perez’s biggest shots in a tightly contested round. But the late surge wasn’t enough, as Perez earned a unanimous decision (58-56x2, 59-55) after six rounds. Post-fight, Avila showed respect, while Perez used the moment to call out UFC veteran Nate Diaz for his next fight.

In the preliminary card headliner, MVP’s newest signee, WBA super flyweight world champion Jasmine “Animal” Artiga (14-0-1, 7 KOs), delivered a statement performance in her first title defense against Swedish-Australian challenger and WBA #1 contender Linn Sandstrom (10-4-3, 2 KOs). Tampa’s first homegrown world champion came out firing from the opening bell, overwhelming Sandstrom — the WBA Gold champion — with a relentless barrage of blistering combinations. Artiga dictated every second of the fight, dismantling Sandstrom with ease before ending the fight with a dominant TKO at 1:01 of the third round to remain undefeated and retain her title. After the fight, Artiga thanked MVP, her Tampa community, and her grandmother, and made it clear she’s coming for unification next, calling out the IBF, WBO, and WBC champions.

Also on the preliminary card, Boxlab Promotions’ #8-ranked IBF, #10 WBO, #11 WBA, and #11 WBC super lightweight contender Jamaine “The Technician” Ortiz (20-2-1, 10 KOs) delivered a flawless, one-sided dismantling of the Dominican Republic’s Ambiorix Bautista (19-3, 11 KOs). From the opening bell, Ortiz dictated every exchange, slicing through Bautista’s defense with precision combinations and relentless pressure. The bout was never in doubt, as Ortiz finished with a TKO at 1:32 of the third round.

MVP’s 15-time U.S. national amateur champion Nat “No Love” Dove (6-0-1, 2 KOs) continued to showcase her star potential in a 6-round super flyweight bout at 115 lbs against Rio Rancho, New Mexico’s Randee Lynn Morales (5-6, 3 KOs). Dove took early command of the fight, systematically breaking down Morales until the bout was stopped at 1:50 in the fifth round, adding a TKO win to her undefeated record. After the fight, MVP’s Jake Paul and Wanna Walton joined Dove in the ring, where Paul praised her rapid progression and called her a “star on the rise.” Opening the night in a 4-round light flyweight bout, Indio, California’s Jocelyn Camarillo (5-0) defeated Argentina’s Agustina Vazquez (4-5-2) by unanimous decision (40-36, 39-37 x2).
