ORLANDO, Fla. – December 13, 2024 – In the main event of MVP’s Most Valuable Prospects 10, 28-year-old Antonio Vargas (19-1, 11 KOs) proved why he is the WBA’s #1 bantamweight contender as he became the new WBA interim world bantamweight champion following a tenth round TKO of 24-year-old Nicaraguan sensation and the WBA’s #9-ranked contender Winston “El Fantasma” Guerrero (22-1). Vargas dropped Guerrero early with a counter uppercut-left hook combination, but Guerrero came back in the second round, knocking Vargas down with a powerful overhand right. From there, Vargas took control, wearing Guerrero down with body shots and dominant combinations. In the 10th round, Vargas landed a devastating right hand that sent Guerrero to the ropes, finishing the fight with a flurry of punches, securing the TKO victory. MVP’s tenth installment of the Most Valuable Prospects series, presented by CELSIUS Live Fit Essential Energy, took place at the Caribe Royale Resort in Orlando, FL, live on DAZN with Boxlab Promotions serving as the official licensed promoter.

In the co-main event, MVP’s Javon "Wanna" Walton (2-0-1, 1 KO) returned to the ring against the experienced Erik Hanley (1-2, 1 KO) in a 4-round super featherweight bout. Wanna came out firing hard punches from the opening bell, showcasing his superstar potential with quick-twitch explosiveness, speed, and power, highlighted by a ferocious left hook. Despite Hanley’s toughness and ability to absorb punishment, Wanna’s relentless pressure and aggressive combinations overwhelmed his opponent. Walton dominated throughout and earned a well-deserved win by majority decision (40-36 x2, 38-38).

Post-fight, an emotional Walton spoke to ringside reporter Sibley Scoles, expressing his gratitude to MVP, his family, and his fans for their unwavering support following a tough global debut in March 2024 and recent injuries. Jake Paul joined him in the ring, noting that Walton, like himself, started his career in the spotlight and rose to the occasion. Paul praised Walton’s ability to handle pressure and highlighted the significant improvement he's shown, emphasizing the display of power, aggression, and skill that made his performance so impressive.

In a sensational heavyweight battle, undefeated Cuban Olympian Dainier "The Fear" Pero (10-0, 8 KOs) made his fourth Most Valuable Prospects series appearance of 2024, capturing the vacant WBA Continental USA Heavyweight title with a TKO win over Walter Burns (8-3, 6 KOs). The 25-year-old Pero delivered a devastating display of power, knocking Burns down twice with thunderous head shots in the first round before finishing him for good at 2:50 of round 1. The victory, his sixth straight by TKO, capped an unstoppable year for Pero, who went 5-0 with 5 KOs in 2024, solidifying his status as a leading candidate for Prospect of the Year. Following the bout, Pero thanked MVP, Boxlab, and his supporters.

Tamm Thibeault (1-0), two-time Canadian Olympian, amateur world champion, and MVP’s latest signee, made history tonight as the first female boxer to make her professional debut under men’s rules—four three-minute rounds—in the Most Valuable Prospects 10 main card opener. Facing the WBA’s #10-ranked contender, Natasha “The Nightmare” Spence (8-7-2, 6 KOs), Thibeault delivered a commanding performance that showcased her immense potential as a future champion. Utilizing her impressive height, reach, and fluid movement, Thibeault combined strength and technical precision to dominate from the opening bell. Demonstrating the power and skill that made her an unstoppable force in the amateur ranks, she earned a unanimous decision victory (40-36 x3) to begin her professional career with a powerful statement.

Thibeault celebrated her victory alongside her new MVP teammates Jake Paul and Amanda Serrano in the ring, marking a momentous occasion for women’s boxing. Paul praised Thibeault as “the future” of the sport, while Thibeault expressed gratitude to Serrano for breaking barriers and inspiring a new generation of female fighters. Additional action on the preliminary card featured the undefeated Armenian prospect Gurgen “Big Gug” Hovhannisyan (7-0, 6 KOs), who battled Samoan fighter Patrick Mailata (6-3, 3 KOs) in an eight-round heavyweight bout. However, the resilient Hovhannisyan regained his composure and demonstrated why he's one of the most exciting up-and-coming heavyweights, finishing strong with his jabs to secure a hard-fought majority decision (76-76, 77-75 x2).

MVP SIGNS TWO-TIME CANADIAN OLYMPIAN AND AMATEUR WORLD CHAMPION TAMMARA “TAMM” THIBEAULT AHEAD OF PRO DEBUT

Press Release: December 13,  2024 By Most Valuable Promotions - MVP deepens its commitment to empowering female fighters by signing Thibeault, who makes a bold statement for equality in historic first-ever women’s pro debut under men’s rules—four three-minute rounds—at Most Valuable Prospects 10

Thibeault becomes MVP’s first female Canadian signee and joins “Prince” Lucas Bahdi as MVP’s second Canadian athlete

NEW YORK, NY – December 13, 2024 – Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) announced today that two-time Canadian Olympian and amateur world champion Tammara “Tamm” Thibeault will be the newest signee to MVP’s growing roster of world-class fighters. Thibeault joins MVP just ahead of her highly-anticipated pro debut against fellow Canadian and the #10 WBA-ranked middleweight, Natasha “The Nightmare” Spence (8-6, 6 KOs). Thibeault, a passionate advocate for gender equality in the sport, is making a powerful statement from the opening bell of her professional career as the first female boxer in history to compete in a pro debut under men’s rules—four three-minute rounds—in a middleweight / 160 lbs bout against Spence. The bout will open the main card of MVP’s Most Valuable Prospects 10 on Friday, December 13 in Orlando, FL, available globally as part of the DAZN subscription package, with Boxlab Promotions serving as the official licensed promoter. Jake Paul, Amanda Serrano, and fellow Canadian signee Lucas Bahdi will be in attendance to support Thibeault and fellow MVP star Wanna Walton.

Originally from Shawinigan, Quebec, Canada, Thibeault began her boxing journey at the age of nine, inspired by seeing her father, a former CFL athlete who took up boxing in his offseason, knock out an opponent during a Provincial tournament. Following in his footsteps, she took up boxing at age 12 and was inspired to compete for Canada while watching the first women’s Olympic boxing competition at the 2012 London Olympics. Since then, the 27-year-old middleweight, a southpaw standing 6 feet tall, has forged an outstanding career in the amateur ranks. A two-time Olympian, Thibeault made her Olympic debut at Tokyo 2020, where she advanced to the quarterfinals of the women’s 75kg (165lb) event, matching Canada’s best-ever Olympic result in any women’s boxing event. She went undefeated until she returned to the Paris Olympics in 2024, earning gold medals at the 2022 IBA Amateur World Championship, the 2022 Commonwealth Games, and the 2023 Pan Am Games. Thibeault, who speaks French, English, and Spanish, recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Urban Studies from Concordia University in 2023, which she earned over seven years while competing. She currently lives in Sheffield, England, where she is earning a one-year Master’s degree in urban design and urban planning while training at the renowned Steel City Gym. She is now poised to embark on the next chapter of her career, setting a new precedent in the pro ranks as the first female boxer in history to make a pro debut while competing under men’s rules, three-minute rounds, on the main card of MVP’s Most Valuable Prospects 10.

“I am beyond excited to be part of Most Valuable Promotions,” said Tamm Thibeault. “The moment has come to start a new adventure, and I truly believe that with MVP, I will have the opportunity to bring something great to women’s professional boxing. Amanda Serrano has been an incredible inspiration, championing women’s choice in this sport, and I’m proud to follow her example by competing under men’s rules—with three-minute rounds—against Natasha Spence in my pro debut today. This is only the beginning, and I can’t wait to start this amazing journey!”

“I’m thrilled to welcome another strong female fighter in Tamm Thibeault to the MVP family,” said Amanda Serrano. “Tamm’s impressive accomplishments at the amateur level speak volumes about her talent and potential, and I’m confident she’s destined to become a future superstar. Most importantly, she shares our vision to uplift female fighters and show the world that women deserve recognition, a platform, and equal opportunity in this sport. By stepping into the ring to compete with three-minute rounds in her first pro fight, Tamm is making a bold statement on equality and setting a powerful example for the next generation of women in boxing. Change is coming.”

"Tamm Thibeault has the skills inside and outside the ring to ensure she has a long and successful boxing career," said Jake Paul and Nakisa Bidarian, co-founders of Most Valuable Promotions. "As a two-time Canadian Olympian and amateur world champion, Tamm has already proven herself as one of the sport's brightest rising stars. Her decision to compete under men’s rules in her professional debut is a groundbreaking moment, and we’re honored to support her as she sets a new standard for what’s possible in women’s boxing. The anticipation for her pro debut on Most Valuable Prospects 10 tonight is just the beginning, and we’re excited to see her continue inspiring athletes worldwide and showcasing her talents in an MVP event in Canada in 2025.

Thibeault joins MVP’s elite roster of superstar athletes and up-and-coming stars including international superstar Jake “El Gallo” Paul, boxing trailblazer and unified featherweight world champion Amanda “The Real Deal” Serrano, prolific top boxing prospect H2O Sylve, MVP’s first homegrown champion, the new WBO Super Middleweight Champion, Shadasia “The Sweet Terminator” Green, multi-talented megastar Javon “Wanna” Walton, India’s most successful professional boxer Neeraj Goyat, and top-ranked lightweight “Prince” Lucas Bahdi.

Founded by Jake Paul and Nakisa Bidarian, MVP aims to give athletes creative control, and aims to identify, grow, and maximize return for its talent partners and events. Together, Paul and Bidarian have architected Jake Paul’s meteoric rise in combat sports. In 2021, MVP signed one of the most decorated Hispanic athletes of all time, Amanda Serrano, who has since achieved historic milestones, including becoming Puerto Rico’s first-ever undisputed champion and competing in the first unified women’s championship fight contested over 12 three-minute rounds—the men’s championship standard—held in October 2023. Her previous historic clash against Katie Taylor at Madison Square Garden in 2022 earned recognition as Sports Illustrated’s Fight of the Year, The Ring’s Event of the Year, and was further nominated for Event of the Year by Sports Business Journal. The event marked a pivotal point in women’s sports history as the first time women have headlined a main event at the world-renowned venue in New York City.

MVP’s recent collaboration with Netflix broke records with the Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson mega-event, which is now the most-streamed sporting event ever, peaking at 65 million concurrent streams globally, with 38 million in the U.S. The event drew an average minute audience (AMA) of 108 million live viewers globally, which grew to 125 million (Live+1) over the weekend. Co-headlining the historic card, Katie Taylor vs. Amanda Serrano 2 became the most-watched professional women’s sports event in U.S. history, with an AMA of 47 million viewers domestically and 74 million globally. The event also ranked as the #1 title on Netflix in 78 countries, including the U.S., UK, Brazil, and India, and trended as the #1 topic worldwide on X during the event. Joe Hand Promotions reported that over 1 million viewers watched from 6,000 bars and restaurants in the U.S., breaking commercial distribution records.

Despite showing intent to continue at the end of the fourth round, Gogokhia suffered a shoulder dislocation, leading to a TKO victory for La Bazuca before the start of the fifth round.

In a main card matchup, 26-year-old Yoelvis “La Joya” Gomez (8-1, 7 KOs) showcased his knockout power with a thrilling TKO victory over Diego Ferreira (11-3-1, 7 KOs) in their 8-round middleweight fight. Gomez, the rising Cuban standout, made his mark from the opening bell with his aggressive style and relentless pressure. As the fight progressed, Gomez continued to find openings, landing a series of massive right hands throughout the fourth round, ultimately wearing down Gomez and leading him to retire at the end of the fourth round.

In the main card opener, Orlando, Florida’s 19-year-old talent Carlos “Pretty Boy” Lebron (3-1-1, 3 KOs) went the distance against Cidra, Puerto Rico’s Luis Quiles (2-0-1, 1 KO) in a four-round bantamweight fight. Lebron, who entered the bout with all his wins by knockout, methodically broke down Quiles with powerful combinations in the opening two rounds. Quiles made a strong showing late in the bout, coming to life in the third round and mounting a steady attack against Lebron’s power and precision through the end of the bout, resulting in a majority draw (39-37, 38-38 x2).

Kissimmee, Florida’s promising prospect Antraveous Ingram (8-0, 3 KOs) kept his undefeated record intact with a fifth-round TKO victory over Cruse “Hitman” Stewart (8-4, 6 KOs) in a super welterweight bout on the preliminary card. Ingram, fighting in front of his enthusiastic home fans, used his speed and footwork to neutralize Stewart’s power from the opening bell. Stewart pressed the action, but Ingram’s defense and heavy counterattacks knocked Stewart down in the fourth round before ultimately landing a vicious body shot at 1:31 in the fifth round, sending Stewart to the mat for good.

26-year-old Bree “Bam Bam” Howling (8-0, 2 KOs) continued her undefeated streak with a commanding performance, defeating Hungary’s Beata Dudek (4-4, 4 KOs) by unanimous decision (80-72 x3) in an 8-round bantamweight bout on the preliminary card. Howling, ranked in the top 10 by the WBA, proved her future contender potential with technical skill and speed. Despite Dudek’s height and reach advantage, Howling controlled the pace and distance, earning the unanimous victory.

Nat “No Love” Dove (3-0) put on a commanding performance against Wendy Villegas (2-3, 2 KOs) in their four-round bantamweight bout, securing a unanimous decision (40-36 x3) victory. Dove, a training partner to MVP’s own Javon “Wanna” Walton, dominated from the opening bell with superior speed, footwork, and striking power. Throughout all the rounds, Dove's relentless pressure and impressive combinations left Villegas unable to mount a significant offense. The judges awarded Dove a unanimous decision, keeping her perfect record intact and further highlighting her potential as a rising talent in the ring.

In a thrilling 4-round lightweight bout on the preliminary card, Harley “Dennis the Menace” Mederos (7-0, 6 KOs) delivered an impressive TKO win against Russia’s Nikolai Buzolin (9-10-1, 5 KOs). Mederos knocked down Buzolin in the first round with a series of devastating blows to the head and body, and repeated the feat in the second round. In the third round, Mederos unleashed a relentless barrage, knocking Buzolin down three times before the referee stepped in to stop the fight, awarding Mederos a TKO victory.

In the final fight of the night, Christian Rivera (1-0) defeated Rommel Toran (1-2-1, 1 KO) by unanimous decision in a 4 round welterweight fight

Press Release: September 7, 2024 By Most Valuable Promotions -  Rivera, Rosado, and Chaparro to feature on main card of MVP’s Most Valuable Prospects 9 at the Coliseo Roger Mendoza, available globally on DAZN subscription

NEW YORK, NY – September 6, 2024 – Today, Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) announced its expansion into Puerto Rico for the ninth installment of its Most Valuable Prospects series, set to take place in Caguas, Puerto Rico at the Coliseo Roger Mendoza on Friday, October 11th, available globally on DAZN subscription. Universal Promotions will serve as the official promoter with Boxlab Promotions serving as co-promoter for Most Valuable Prospects 9, presented by CELSIUS Live Fit Essential Energy. Most Valuable Prospects 9 marks a significant milestone for MVP as it brings its up-and-coming talent showcase series to Puerto Rican soil for the first time in partnership with MVP’s boxing trailblazer, the most decorated Puerto Rican champion of all time, Amanda Serrano and her manager Jordan Maldonado. The partnership, first announced in March 2024 at MVP’s marquee event in San Juan, aims to identify, sign, and develop Puerto Rican fighters with MVP. The company now welcomes 23-year-old Puerto Rican National Team star Jan Paul Rivera, 21-year-old sensation Krystal Rosado, and three-time US national boxing champion and high-fashion model Alexis “Chop Chop” Chaparro to the MVP roster.

Most Valuable Prospects 9 will be headlined by Jan Paul Rivera (10-0, 6 KOs) vs. Andy “Skeletor” Beltran (8-0, 5 KOs) in a 8-round featherweight bout for the WBC Latino regional title. Krystal Rosado (4-0, 2 KOs) and Alexis “Chop Chop” Chaparro will also compete on the main card. The event represents MVP’s expanding ventures in Puerto Rico to spotlight the island’s rich boxing heritage and identify development opportunities with Puerto Rican talent. Tickets for Most Valuable Prospects 9 are on sale now at ticketera.com.

In the main event, Most Valuable Prospects 9 will feature the highly-anticipated return of recent Most Valuable Prospects standout, Jan Paul Rivera (10-0, 6 KOs). Rivera, the 23-year-old featherweight prospect from Salinas, Puerto Rico, was a decorated member of the Puerto Rican national boxing team as an amateur, competing in over 200 bouts. His amateur accolades include winning two straight Puerto Rico Elite National Championships in 2020 and 2021, as well as the Puerto Rico Youth National Championships in 2018 and 2019. He also earned a silver medal at the AIBA Youth World Championships in Budapest, Hungary in 2018. Across his 10-fight professional career to date, Rivera has competed across the USA, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, and Colombia, furthering his aspirations to become a global star in the sport. He most recently took home a knockout win over then-8-0 Justin Goodson in the main event of MVP’s Most Valuable Prospects 7. He now will compete in the main event of Most Valuable Prospects 9 against Andy “Skeletor” Beltran (8-0, 5 KOs) in a 8-round featherweight bout. Beltran comes to the ring from Las Vegas, Nevada ready to test his own undefeated streak and knockout power as they compete for the WBC Latino regional title.

"Signing with Amanda Serrano, Nakisa Bidarian, Jake Paul, and MVP is a great opportunity for me to become a star, and I’m proud to be joining such a dynamic, talented team,” said Jan Paul Rivera. “Most Valuable Prospects 9 is more than just another fight for me—it's a chance to showcase my skills and represent my home in Puerto Rico. I can’t wait to put on a show for my fans at the Coliseo Roger Mendoza."

Also joining the main card will be the 21-year-old sensation Krystal Rosado (4-0, 2 KOs), the first fighter signed by Amanda Serrano. The Carolina, Puerto Rico native made her professional debut on MVP’s Most Valuable Prospects 2 show in August 2023, stunning fans with a ferocious second-round KO against Tarrethia Dixon. Rosado went on to compete on MVP’s historic Serrano vs. Ramos card in October 2023, earning her decisive second win over Hungary’s Kata Pap, before appearing in front of her home fans at the legendary Coliseo de Puerto Rico in San Juan as part of MVP’s main card in March 2024. In front of her home fans, Rosado put on a ferocious show, displaying her championship potential against Gloria Munguilla. Rosado took home a majority decision win, which she followed with a swift knockout of Russia’s Veronika Dmitriyeva at MVP’s Most Valuable Prospects 7 in July 2024. Rosado will now make her formal debut as an MVP fighter in her fifth professional bout on Friday, October 11.

"As the first fighter signed by Amanda Serrano, I want to make my island proud and put on a show every time I step into the ring,” said Krystal Rosado. “Joining MVP is an incredible honor, and I’m excited to grow further now with Nakisa and Jake in my corner. Competing in Caguas is a big moment for me, and I’m ready to show everyone what I’m capable of. This event is an amazing opportunity to highlight the young talent coming out of Puerto Rico, and I’m thrilled to be part of it."

Alexis "Chop Chop" Chaparro (2-0, 2 KOs) also has now signed with Most Valuable Promotions and will make his return to the ring for Most Valuable Prospects 9. The 23-year-old Chaparro, raised in Ridgewood, New York, is a three-time national boxing champion who competed at both the 2020 and 2024 USA Boxing Olympic trials. The gifted Puerto Rican athlete is also a high fashion model, having worked for Versace, Burberry, Dolce & Gabbana, Giorgio Armani, and Polo Ralph Lauren, among others. Chaparro landed a sensational first-round KO win over Daniel Augare in his pro debut on Most Valuable Prospects 6 in April 2024, before scoring a stunning second round knockout over Kevin Hill on the preliminary card of MVP’s Jake Paul vs. Mike Perry in July 2024.

"Signing with both MVP and Amanda Serrano is a big step in my career, and I couldn’t be more excited to represent my Puerto Rican roots on Friday, October 11,” said Alexis "Chop Chop" Chaparro. “Being part of MVP feels like the perfect fit, and I’m looking forward to making my mark in the ring and continuing to advance my career under Nakisa and Jake’s guidance. This is just the beginning, and I’m ready to show the world what I’m made of."

“MVP’s expansion into Puerto Rico in partnership with Amanda Serrano and Jordan Maldonado underscores our commitment to developing and showcasing the wealth of boxing talent from Puerto Rico,” said Jake Paul and Nakisa Bidarian, co-founders of MVP. “We are proud to formally welcome Jan, Krystal, and Alexis as the newest signees to the MVP family and look forward to featuring these young, exciting stars in front of their home fans at the Coliseo Roger Mendoza on Friday, October 11. We are continuing our mission to expand our talent roster and support fighters with the potential to become global stars at MVP. This event not only represents a new chapter for MVP but also reinforces our dedication to elevating the sport of boxing with top talent from around the world.”

“We’ve worked hard to identify fighters who embody the spirit and dedication of Puerto Rican boxing, and working alongside MVP to elevate fighters like Jan, Krystal, and Alexis is a dream come true,” said Amanda Serrano and Jordan Maldonado. “We know firsthand what it means to have the support of your home fans in the ring, and we’re excited to see the next generation of future champions shine on Friday, October 11. This is just the beginning of something special for MVP and Puerto Rico.”

The Most Valuable Prospects series is produced and marketed by MVP with Universal Promotions serving as the official promoter, co-promoted by Boxlab Promotions, and is distributed globally by DAZN. MOST VALUABLE PROMOTIONS RETURNS TO ORLANDO ON APRIL 26 FOR MOST VALUABLE PROSPECTS VI ON DAZN

Press Release: By DAZN And Most Valuable Promotions - Yoenis Tellez, the top-ten ranked WBA super welterweight in the world, returns to Most Valuable Prospects to face fellow undefeated knockout star Joseph Jackson in 10-round defense of WBA Latin America Continental Title

Benigno Aguilar vs. Alexander Rios rematch as co-main, following contentious split-decision victory between the pair on Serrano vs. Ramos & Most Valuable Prospects III undercard in October 2023

Former Puerto Rican National Team star Jan Paul Rivera vs. David Perez to face off in 6-round featherweight bout

NEW YORK, NY – March 6, 2024 – Today, Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) announced that its Most Valuable Prospects series will return with its sixth installment on Friday, April 26th at the Caribe Royale Resort in Orlando, FL available globally on DAZN subscription. Most Valuable Prospects VI will be headlined by #10-ranked WBA super welterweight Yoenis Tellez (7-0, 6 KOs) vs. Joseph Jackson (19-0, 15 KOs) for the WBA Latin America Continental Championship and will be presented by CELSIUS Live Fit Essential Energy. The co-main event will feature Benigno Aguilar (11-0-1, 4 KOs) vs. Alexander Rios (8-1, 3 KOs) in a rematch of their undercard thriller on MVP’s historic Serrano vs. Ramos and Most Valuable Prospects III card. Tickets will go on sale on Monday, March 11th at 10am ET on Ticketmaster.com.

Making his second appearance on the Most Valuable Prospects series is the 23-year-old star prospect Yoenis Tellez (7-0, 6 KOs), who will take on the more experienced and fellow undefeated knockout machine Joseph Jackson in a highly-anticipated 10-round super welterweight headliner in defense of the WBA Continental Latin Americas title. Tellez, from Stafford, Texas by way of Santiago, Cuba, initially made a name for himself in the opening PPV bout of the Terrence Crawford vs. Errol Spence Jr. welterweight championship unification showdown, in which Tellez took on the far more experienced Sergio Ramos and dealt Ramos a brutal 3rd round knockout, the seasoned Garcia’s third loss in 37 professional matches – and his first loss by TKO. Tellez spent most of his youth in Cuba as an amateur boxer, winning national youth titles in 2017 and 2018 before moving to Russia in 2020 to make his pro debut. Tellez eventually moved to Texas in 2022 to begin training with Ronnie Shields. In his most recent appearance in the ring on the Jake Paul vs. Andre August & Most Valuable Prospects IV main card, Tellez secured the WBA Continental Latin Americas title with his jaw-dropping knockout of Livan Navarro in the 10th round. He is promoted by BoxLab Promotions and Warrior’s Boxing.

Joseph Jackson (19-0, 15 KOs), Tellez’s 35-year-old challenger for the WBA Continental Latin Americas title, comes to the ring by way of Greensboro, North Carolina off three straight knockout wins, adding to his already impressive undefeated resume. Jackson’s biggest win to date was over Derrick Colemon Jr., which resulted in a unanimous decision for Jackson as he handed Colemon his first and only loss to date on Showtime’s Shobox series in February 2020.

In the co-main feature on MVP’s Most Valuable Prospects VI will be the thrilling 8-round lightweight rematch of Mexico vs. Puerto Rico between fan favorites Benigno Aguilar (11-0-1, 4 KOs) vs. Alexander Rios (8-1, 3 KOs). Each fighter is making their third appearance on Most Valuable Prospects following top-performance moments in the series, including Rios’s first round knockout of Javier Ailla on Most Valuable Prospects II. In their last matchup on the historic card of Amanda Serrano vs. Danila Ramos and Most Valuable Prospects III in October 2023, the two each put their undefeated records on the line, with Aguilar fighting to a nail-biting split decision victory over Rios. Aguilar solidified his victory as he scored a major knockdown of Rios down in the fifth round as the two traded a thundering series of body and face shots across the bout. Rios most recently notched another win in March, and now seeks to settle the score against Aguilar.

Also on the main card will be a 6-round battle between featherweights Jan Paul Rivera (8-0, 5 KOs) and David Perez (9-0, 2 KOs). Rivera, the 22-year-old prospect from Salinas, Puerto Rico, was a decorated member of the Puerto Rican national boxing team as an amateur, competing in over 200 bouts. Across his 8-fight professional career to date, Rivera has competed across the USA, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, and Colombia, furthering his aspirations to become a global star in the sport. David Perez, the 26-year-old talent from Tulsa, Oklahoma, recently bested then-6-0 William Green in September 2023, and looks to take his first major step up in competition to test his undefeated record against Rivera on Friday, April 26.

“Coming off MVP’s latest record-breaking event in Puerto Rico, we are excited to return to Orlando for our next Most Valuable Prospects event on Friday, April 26,” said MVP co-founder Nakisa Bidarian and Jake Paul. “Continuing to shine the spotlight on boxing’s best young talents is a core tenant of MVP, and we look forward to welcoming back Yoenis Tellez, Benigno Aguilar, and Alexander Rios to the series’ sixth installment following their sensational performances on previous Most Valuable Prospects iterations over the last year. Thank you to DAZN, CELSIUS, Boxlab Promotions, and Caribe Royale for their ongoing partnership to make this series the best up-and-coming talent feature in boxing.”

“On behalf of Caribe Royale and Boxlab Promotions we’re excited to be partnering with MVP on another dynamic boxing card. The card is stacked with fast rising prospects in various weight classes,” said Amaury Piedra, Managing Director of Caribe Royale Resort and President of Boxlab Promotions. “This is just another example of how the team has made Orlando the focal point for boxing in Florida. These action packed events give both Caribe Royale guests and locals another reason to visit Orlando’s only 4 diamond all suite resort.”

Additional bouts for Most Valuable Prospects VI will be announced in the coming weeks.

The Most Valuable Prospects series is produced and marketed by MVP with Boxlab Promotions serving as the official licensed promoter and is distributed globally by DAZN. The sixth event in the series will continue the commitment from MVP co-founders Jake Paul and Nakisa Bidarian to highlight the world’s best up-and-coming boxing talent. MOST VALUABLE PROMOTIONS’ YOUNG PHENOM H2O SYLVE WINS THE WBC YOUTH WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP OVER ESTIVAN FALCAO AT MOST VALUABLE PROSPECTS V

Press Release: By DAZN And Most Valuable Promotions-  ORLANDO, FL – February 2, 2024 – Tonight, Most Valuable Promotions’ (MVP) 20-year old phenom H2O Sylve (11-0, 9 KOs) showed the world why he is the hottest prospect in boxing, winning the WBC Youth World Championship over Estivan “Tunny” Falcao (13-3, 7 KOs) by unanimous decision (100-89, 99-90 x2) in the headlining bout of Most Valuable Prospects V, presented by CELSIUS Live Fit. Essential Energy, live globally on DAZN. Sylve came out paying homage to the most famous H2O fan, The Waterboy, Bobby Boucher, and went a full 10 rounds for the first time in his career with a dominating performance over the more experienced Falcao. Falcao came out strong, but could not match the power and agility of Sylve who landed multiple impressive combinations, ultimately finishing a stunning quick combo with a powerful right cross that dropped Falcao late in the tenth round. Sylve, who recently became a father, celebrated in the ring with his family and newborn son. After the fight, an exhilarated Sylve spoke to Sibley Scoles in-ring sharing the discipline and hard work in camp that got him through ten rounds for the first time in his young career.

Credit: Joseph Correa/Most Valuable Promotions

In the co-main event, Orestes “El Tsunami” Velazquez (8-1, 7 KOs) faced Julian “Quiet Storm” Smith (8-2, 5 KOs) for a highly-anticipated super lightweight WBA International Title  fight over ten rounds. Smith came into the fight with relentless vigor, knocking down Velazquez in the first round with a vicious left-right combo. What followed was a relentless display of combos from Smith, as Quiet Storm turned the Tsunami into a drizzle with three more knockdowns, including a pair in the ninth round. Throughout the last rounds, Smith displayed his energy and confidence, taunting Velazquez with a shimmy and flashing peek-a-boo between punches. Following Smith’s fourth knockdown of Velazquez, El Tsunami’s corner declared him unable to continue, leading to a TKO win for Smith. Smith, a deaf Chicago Golden Gloves champion and three-time Most Valuable Prospects fighter, put his all into the fight, and was overcome with emotion after the fight, falling to his knees in the ring when the decision was declared, becoming the newest WBA International champion. Following the fight, Smith thanked God, shared his hard work in camp, and encouraged others like him to take up boxing. “A deaf person CAN make it happen,” he declared, before sharing a touching moment with his mother in the ring as they celebrated his victory.

Ahead of Sylve vs. Falcao and Velazquez vs. Smith, Most Valuable Prospects V showcased two additional thrilling main card bouts between the lightweight undefeated Florida natives Benigno Aguilar (11-0-1, 4 KOs) and Corey Marksman (8-0-1, 6 KOs) and welterweight Maricela Cornejo (18-6, 7 KOs) took on Kandi Wyatt (11-6, 3 KOs).

Benigno “Tony” Aguilar (11-0-1, 4 KOs) again illustrated why he is a Most Valuable Prospects fan favorite, leveraging his relentless power over six rounds vs. Corey “2Smoove” Marksman (8-0-1, 6 KOs) in the unofficial “Battle for Florida.” The 24-year-old Crescent City native Aguilar proudly represented his Mexican heritage and showed off his explosive power in the ring, while Marksman matched the energy and met Aguilar’s challenge with aggression and power as the pair’s ferocious barrage of punches consistently brought the raucous crowd to its feet. Aguilar, promoted by boxing legend Christy Martin, and Marksman fittingly fought to a split draw (56-58, 58-56, 57-57).

In a post-fight interview, Aguilar thanked the crowd for their support and wished his sister a happy birthday. He further expressed his appreciation for the Most Valuable Prospects platform, and claimed he is still the rightful King of Florida, noting his intent to run it back with Marksman to claim a win. Marksman agreed he and Aguilar should fight again, and asserted that he will be the King of Florida.

Mike Leanardi, Director of Boxing for Most Valuable Promotions, also took to the ring following the decision to announce a potential April 26, 2024 rematch for Aguilar and Marksman in order to decide the true King of Florida once and for all.

Opening the main card, Maricela “La Diva” Cornejo (18-6, 7 KOs) took on Kandi “Krush” Wyatt (11-6, 3 KOs) in an 8 round welterweight bout, with the two former title contenders each demonstrating their skill and power in the ring in a back and forth bout with Cornejo earning a unanimous decision win (79-73, 78-74 x2) over Wyatt. Cornejo fought for just the second time at welterweight following her last middleweight title fight against Claressa Shields in June of 2023, in which she took Shields the distance on short notice before a disappointing UD loss. After the bout, Cornejo reiterated her championship aspirations at welterweight and called out Jessica McCaskill and Natasha Jonas for her potential next fight.

In the headlining bout of the preliminary rounds, Dainier “The Fear” Pero (6-0, 4 KOs) went toe to toe with the more experienced Joe Jones (14-10, 10 KOs). The bout proved to be the battle of the heavyweights as the two powerhitters hammered at each other. Ultimately, Pero’s determination won out, earning the Cuba native and former Olympian a second-round TKO over Jones in another promising showing from the 24-year-old prospect. Jaz “Animal” Artiga (12-0-1, 5 KOs) came out swinging with a relentless flurry of punches, securing a dominating win by TKO over former two-time IBF world minimumweight champion Nancy “Chatita” Franco (19-19, 5 KOs) at just 1:19 in the first round, continuing the hard-hitting Tampa super flyweight’s win streak. Following the victory, Artiga spoke to ringside reporter Sibley Scoles to reiterate her intent to give Tampa a world championship title in 2024.

Also on the preliminary card, super lightweight Jorge Carlos (6-0, 5 KOs) beat Quinterius “Madman” Chappell (3-1, 3 KOs) by unanimous decision (40-36 x3). The 18-year-old Alex “Alley Cat” Gueche (4-0, 4 KOs) returned to Most Valuable Prospects for a ferocious super flyweight onslaught vs. Osmar Rodriguez (5-3, 1 KO), earning Gueche his latest professional victory by third round TKO. The opening lightweight battle between Luis “Popeye” Lebron (20-5-1, 13 KOs) vs. Giovanni “Baby Face” Gutierrez (11-7-1, 6 KOs) ended with a TKO victory by Lebron in the second round.
