BREAKING: SERRANO NOT CLEARED TO COMPETE, TITLE DEFENSE AGAINST MEINKE CANCELLED

The scheduled twelve, three minute round Women's Unified World Featherweight champion Amanda Serrano and Nina Meinke, which was to main event a Most Valuable Promotions card held this evening Saturday,March 2nd) at the Jose Miguel Agrelot Coliseum in San Juan, Puerto Rico was cancelled moments before it was to take place. In an announcement made to the sell out crowd, it was revealed by an emotional champion Serrano that she was not cleared to compete due to an eye injury that is currently affecting her vision.


The remainder of the card, which featured social media influencer, turned Cruiserweight boxer Jake Paul scoring a first round stoppage of Ryan Bourlandbefore the main event was to take place, went on as scheduled. Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) went onto announce that they will be issuing refunds to everyone in attendance.


A visably distraught Serrano, who was consoled by her promoter Jale Paul vowed that the fight will be rescheduled when she is healthy and it will take place at the venue. The extent of the injury remains unknown as of this writing, but the Featherweight champion indicated it was an injury to her cornea.
