NEW YORK, NY - MARCH 4, 2026 - VICE TV’s hit series The Verdict, hosted by Christopher “Mad Dog” Russo, returns for a five-episode second season on Tuesday, March 24 at 9PM ET/PT. In each episode, Russo and a lineup of sports insiders, journalists, and analysts get to the bottom of the hottest debates in sports history, presenting both sides through a fast-paced documentary debate format.
Season two expands the scope of The Verdict across the sports world, from baseball to boxing to tennis - delivering compelling arguments powered by data, insider insights and first-hand reporting, all filtered through Russo’s unmistakable voice and point of view. Season two of The Verdict debuts with Babe Ruth vs. Shohei Ohtani, followed by Muhammad Ali vs. Mike Tyson, Jack Nicklaus vs. Tiger Woods, Bo Jackson Vs. Deion Sanders, and closes out with Roger Federer vs. Rafael Nadal vs. Novak Djokovic.
“We’re thrilled to bring back The Verdict with a broader lens on the most polarizing debates in sports,” said VICE TV President Pete Gaffney. “Mad Dog doesn’t sit on the fence - he forces the conversation forward - and this season the arguments are bigger, the stakes are higher, and the debates are fierce.”
Christopher “Mad Dog” Russo commented: “Sports fans have argued about these topics for decades — in bars, on radio, at family dinners. These debates define eras. We’re breaking it down — history, numbers, context, all of it — and at the end of the hour, I’m giving you a Verdict. That’s the fun of it.”
Christopher “Mad Dog” Russo has been one of the most influential figures in sports talk radio over the course of his legendary 40-year career. A member of the Radio Hall of Fame, he’s widely recognized for his role in popularizing the format. Russo is currently a weekly guest on ESPN’s First Take where his segments “What Are You Mad About” and “Mad Dog’s A-List” regularly drive hundreds of thousands of views on social media. He also headlines SIRIUSXM’s exclusive all-sports talk channel Mad Dog Sports Radio as host of “Mad Dog Unleashed” on weekday afternoons.
Season one of “The Verdict” premiered in January 2025, settling the debate of who was more important to the New England Patriots, Tom Brady or Bill Belichick?
The Verdict is executive produced by The WorkShop Content Studios and Media Squared.
