STATEMENT FROM MOST VALUABLE PROMOTIONS REGARDING FICTITIOUS CLAIMS THAT UNDERMINE THE INTEGRITY OF THE PAUL VS. TYSON FIGHT
Press Release: November 26, 2024 By Most Valuable Promotions- Following the wide circulation of incorrect and baseless claims that undermine the integrity of the Paul vs. Tyson event, Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) would like to set the record straight regarding the contractual agreements and the nature of the fight.
Rigging a professional boxing match is a federal crime in the United States of America. Paul vs. Tyson was a professional match sanctioned by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations (TDLR). Both fighters in good faith performed to the best of their abilities with the goal of winning the fight. There were absolutely no restrictions – contractual or otherwise – around either fighter. Each boxer was able to use his full arsenal to win the fight. Any agreement to the contrary would violate TDLR boxing rules.
Trash talk and speculation are common in sports, and athletes and promoters need to tolerate nonsensical commentary, jokes and opinions. But suggesting anything other than full effort from these fighters is not only naïve but an insult to the work they put into their craft and to the sport itself.
It is further illogical and inane that MVP, in the debut of a hopeful long-term partnership with the world’s biggest streamer—an organization that made its first-ever foray into live professional sports with Paul vs. Tyson—would even so much as consider such a perverse violation of the rules of competition.
“This is not the first time Jake Paul has faced unfounded skepticism or outright disbelief as a professional athlete, and frankly, the claim that his bout must have been rigged is just the latest backhanded compliment to come his way,” said Nakisa Bidarian, co-founder of Most Valuable Promotions. “From day one in this sport, people have doubted his abilities—unable to reconcile how someone with his background has accomplished so much in such a short time. Jake has not only proven himself repeatedly, but he has continuously set historic records that speak for themselves. This event, which broke attendance and viewership milestones for a professional sporting event, is yet another example of his ability to deliver on the biggest stage. As long as Jake continues to exceed expectations, there will always be those who try to discredit his achievements. We embrace the doubt—it only fuels Jake to work harder and achieve greater success.”

Thunderdome 48 - Jude Grant vs Fano Kori
Press Release: November 23, 2024 By Dragon Fire Boxing-

| Credit: Dragon Fire Boxing |
On November 29, Dragonfire Promotions once again hits Metro City Night Club for its final show of the year.
In the main event, the undefeated Jude Grant aims to prove why he is one of the hottest prospects in Australia when he takes on the hard hitting veteran Fano Kori.
In his short boxing career spanning just over two years, Grant has established himself as one for the future.
Using his natural speed, superb foot movement and advanced ring IQ for his age, the Perth fighter has built up an undefeated resume of seven wins collecting three state titles along the way.
The young gun has picked up two impressive victories in 2024 and he looks to carry his momentum into the new year.
In his last fight, Grant picked up his second stoppage victory defeating Benny Tamaela. He aims to close off his impressive year with a statement victory over Kori who is said to be his toughest challenge to date.
Since his debut in 2016, Fano Kori has established himself as a key figure in the Perth boxing scene. With his fan friendly style, Kori always brings the action which make his fights must see for any boxing fan.
Riding a victory of 8-8-1, The Cuban Boxing Club fighter has been in the ring with some of Australia’s most prominent boxing names, such as Jordan LaRuccia and Ben Mahoney.
In his last outing, Kori was unlucky to be on the losing end against Ryan Daye Last August. Coming up short in the back and forth encounter by stoppage, despite being ahead on two of the judges’ scorecards.
Next Friday, the veteran looks to get back on track in his pursuit of a State or Australasian title. A win over Grant will most definitely put him back on that path.
After exploring different weight classes, Grant has taken this fight at Junior Middleweight one of his preferred weight classes where his speed and footwork will be more of a factor.
Kori will present a different type of danger and grit, at a level that Grant has not had to deal with before, with his power and athleticism most definitely being key in determining the outcome.
If Grant is victorious over his opponent, it takes him one step closer to his goal of an Aussie title fight in 2025.
With high stakes for both fighters, this bout is one that Perth fans absolutely cannot miss.
Grant vs Kori takes place on the November 29 at Metro City Night Club and is streaming on Live CombatSports.com.au.

Most Valuable Promotions Signs "Prince" Lucas Bahdi
Press Release: November 21, 2024 By Most Valuable Promotions-
Bahdi joins MVP stars Jake “El Gallo” Paul, Puerto Rico’s first-ever undisputed world champion Amanda Serrano, WBO Super Middleweight Champion Shadasia Green, H2O Sylve, megastar Javon Walton, and India’s most successful professional boxer Neeraj Goyat
Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) has announced today that “Prince” Lucas Bahdi (18-0, 15 KOs) will be the newest signee to MVP’s growing roster of world-class fighters. Bahdi, MVP’s first Canadian signee, is a top-ranked lightweight by both the IBF and WBA and recently proved himself among the best title contenders in the lightweight division when he scored a knockout-of-the-year contender win over H2O Sylve on the main card of Jake Paul vs. Mike Perry in July 2024. Most recently, Bahdi further cemented his reputation as a rising force in the division by following up his win over Sylve with a decision victory over previously undefeated Armando Casamonica (14-1, 3 KOs) in a 10-round super lightweight bout, featured on the undercard of MVP’s historic Paul vs. Tyson and Taylor vs. Serrano 2 event at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
Bahdi, born in Niagara Falls, Ontario, has gone undefeated since making his professional debut in mid-2019, winning his first 11 fights by knockout. The 30-year-old top contender had unanimous decision wins against Diego Fabian Eligio and Diego Andrade Chavez in 2022 before resuming his knockout streak. In May 2023, Bahdi defeated Jesus Amparan to claim the IBF North American Lightweight title.
“Signing with an innovative promoter, who puts fighters first, is one of the goals I’ve been working towards since I turned professional in 2019,” said “Prince” Lucas Bahdi. “I’m thrilled to be joining the Most Valuable Promotions team because I know that Jake Paul’s vision for boxers’ careers inside the ring and outside the ring will take me to where I want to be… a world champion and a star. Fighting on the Paul vs. Tyson undercard was just the beginning. I’m excited to keep showing the world what I’ve got.”
"Lucas Bahdi is an exceptional talent and a relentless competitor who embodies everything MVP stands for—passion, dedication, and doing the unexpected," said Jake Paul and Nakisa Bidarian, co-founders of Most Valuable Promotions. "With his impressive knockout power and undefeated record, Lucas has already made waves in the lightweight division, and we’re excited to work with him as he continues his journey toward becoming a world champion and global star. We look forward to Lucas Bahdi headlining an MVP event in Canada in 2025."
Bahdi joins MVP’s elite roster of superstar athletes and up-and-coming stars including international superstar Jake “El Gallo” Paul, boxing trailblazer and unified featherweight world champion Amanda “The Real Deal” Serrano, prolific top boxing prospect H2O Sylve, MVP’S first homegrown champion, the new WBO Super Middleweight Champion, Shadasia “The Sweet Terminator” Green, multi-talented megastar Javon “Wanna” Walton, and India’s most successful professional boxer Neeraj Goyat.
Founded by Jake Paul and Nakisa Bidarian, with the mission to give athletes creative control, MVP works to identify, grow, and maximize return for its talent partners and events. Together, Paul and Bidarian have architected Jake Paul’s meteoric rise in combat sports. In 2021, MVP signed one of the most decorated Hispanic athletes of all time, Amanda Serrano, who has since achieved historic milestones, including becoming Puerto Rico’s first-ever undisputed champion and competing in the first unified women’s championship fight contested over 12 three-minute rounds—the men’s championship standard—held in October 2023. Her previous historic clash against Katie Taylor at Madison Square Garden in 2022 earned recognition as Sports Illustrated’s Fight of the Year, The Ring’s Event of the Year, and was further nominated for Event of the Year by Sports Business Journal. The event marked a pivotal point in women’s sports history as the first time women have headlined a main event at the world-renowned venue in New York City.
MVP’s recent collaboration with Netflix broke records with the Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson mega-event, which is now the most-streamed sporting event ever, peaking at 65 million concurrent streams globally, with 38 million in the U.S. The event drew an average minute audience (AMA) of 108 million live viewers globally, which grew to 125 million (Live+1) over the weekend. Co-headlining the historic card, Katie Taylor vs. Amanda Serrano 2 became the most-watched professional women’s sports event in U.S. history, with an AMA of 47 million viewers domestically and 74 million globally. The event also ranked as the #1 title on Netflix in 78 countries, including the U.S., UK, Brazil, and India, and trended as the #1 topic worldwide on X during the event. Joe Hand Promotions reported that over 1 million viewers watched from 6,000 bars and restaurants in the U.S., breaking commercial distribution records.

Houston’s Marquis Taylor On ‘WBC Radar’ After Teeing Up Petr Khamukov Bout
Press Release: November 19, 2024 By Lee McLaughlan -

· Taylor and unbeaten Russian headline Red Owl Boxfest XIII in Houston
· The 30-year-old will use the fight to push for a world title shot in 2025
Houston, TX: Houston middleweight Marquis ‘0 Snatcher’ Taylor will look to strengthen his bid for a world title shot in 2025 after confirming a December 13 showdown against undefeated Russian Petr Khamukov.
Taylor (17-1-2 2KOs) and California-based Khamukov (13-0-0 6KOs) will meet in a top-of-the-bill 10-round bout on Red Owl’s Boxfest XIII card. This is the final event of the year from Houston-based Red Owl, which will be broadcast live on DAZN.
Bobby Harrison, Taylor’s manager and co-promoter of the bout, has spoken with the NABF president Duane Ford and it has been suggested that a strong display from Taylor, the current NABF belt holder, would see him being backed for a world title shot by Ford (check) who holds a place on the WBC ratings committee.
The BiYu Promotions CEO added that Taylor was determined to take the fight as he believes it is likely to be one of the last opportunities for the Texan to fight in his home town – and wants to put on a show for his supporters.
It is a change of direction for Taylor who announced last month he was ready to take on Jermell Charlo in Houston on the Gervonta Davis – Lamont Roach undercard, scheduled for December 14.
However, former world champion Charlo refused to take on Taylor, while rumours are circulating that the Davis – Roach event is now unlikely to go ahead next month.
This forced the rethink from Taylor’s camp with Harrison and Taylor prepared to take on the Khamukov for the Red Owl series given its profile on DAZN. It will be Taylor’s third fight of the year and follows a successful defence of the NABF title against Roberto Garcia in August.
Harrison admitted he knew little about the 33-year-old Russian, who competed at the 2016 Rio Olympics.
Khamukov turned pro in 2018 and has chalked up 13 straight wins, his last fight coming in May against 40-year-old Mexican Esau Herrera de la Cruz.
Harrison said: “The opportunity to fight an undefeated Russian, who competed in the Olympics – it’s like a Rocky movie.
“Marquis wants to fight in Houston as a victory here would take him close to the top 10 or 15 and the likelihood is he’ll be called to fight in the likes of Las Vegas and New York. We think this will be his last chance to fight in Houston, which is another reason he was willing to take this on.
“I’ve also spoken with the NABF’s Duane Ford and he is taking a lot of interest in this fight. They are willing to throw their weight behind Marquis and getting the big name promoters to give him an opportunity at a world title bout next year.
“We don’t know that much about the opponent, but we do know that he will view this as a huge chance to push himself up the rankings with a win. It is hard to know the quality of the opponents he has faced but Marquis is certainly leaps and bounds better than anyone he will have faced.”
For the next three weeks, Taylor will be based in Las Vegas working with his trainer – two-time world champion Shawn Porter.
Taylor added: “I’m taking him very seriously. He has an unbeaten record and is a former Olympian. I am willing to take him on and see this as a huge opportunity to enhance my credentials for a world title bout after this.”
