Zepeda Defeats Castaneda In Las Vegas

Former world title challenger Jose Zepeda scored a lopsided ten round unanimous decision over prospect Kendo Castaneda on Tuesday night at the MGM Grand Convention Center in Las Vegas, NV. Over the course of the Jr. Welterweight bout, Zepeda demonstrated a well-balanced attack, frequently mixing his offense to the body and head, consistently beating Castaneda to the punch, as well as displaying effective counter punching. A full display of Boxing skills that allowed Zepeda to box his way to a convincing unanimous decision victory. Official scores were: 97-93, and 98-92 (On two scorecards) in favor of Zepeda. Jose Zepeda advances to 32-2, with 25 Knockouts. Since then Fonseca has been one of the few to accept the challenge of future star Ryan Garcia in a fight that took place above his natural 130-pound weight class.  Rosendo Alvarez remains the only man to get a draw against the legendary Ricardo Lopez.
